Minecraft, Swords And Bows.

This tutorial will familiarize you with the weapons available within Minecraft and give you some tips when fighting.

Sword

There are 5 swords in Minecraft which differentiate in how much they damage enemies and their durability.

Sword: Wooden Sword

Damage: 2 Hearts of damage

Durability: 60

Sword: Golden Sword

Damage: 2 Hearts of damage

Durability: 33

Sword: Stone Sword

Damage: 2.5 Hearts of damage

Durability: 132

Sword: Iron Sword

Damage: 3 Hearts of damage

Durability: 251

Sword: Diamond Sword

Damage: 3.5 Hearts of damage

Durability: 1562

Although it may seem incorrect gold swords actually do less damage than stone swords also the durability is much less than any other sword even wood. This is most likely because in real life gold is quite brittle.

Bows

There is only one type of bow in minecraft. Unlike swords bows require an arrow to be used. A fully pulled shot takes away 4.5 Hearts and sometimes 5 Hearts only if it hits. There is no Head-shot mechanic within Minecraft so it doesn't matter where you hit. 

Tips

Bows fired at Endermen do NOT work. The Enderman will just dodge the shot and attack you.

If you hold right click with a sword in hand you will block. Blocking reduces damage from enemies and explosions substantially.

If you attack or shoot while falling or while coming down when jumping it will make it a critical hit.

If you have a sword with Fire Aspect or a bow with flame and you hit a cow, chicken or pig....

 

It will drop cooked food.

Antichthon Minecraft Server

Antichthon is a great minecraft server. Its IP is (63.141.254.98) There is also a forums site for the server http://bbs.antichthon.net/index.php. With Pvp Survival, Factions, Creative Plots, Hunger-games and so many more mini-games its got everything you could possibly want in a server. The server has a friendly, polite and outgoing staff who are always willing to help. There are many plugins to enhance your experience. There is a currency system, Signshop, mcMMO which adds a ton of special abilitys to your player when using weapons and tools and the server also has a /tpa command allowing players to help each other out.

Hunger-games inside Antichthon

The hunger games is a fun Pvp game mode it allows you to select a kit and then fight to the death with your friends. Hunger games on this server is different to some others as you can cut down trees and craft and do anything else you could normally do in survival minecraft. After a certain period of time a feast spawns at a random locations. feasts contain many great things Diamond armour, Splash potions, buckets of lava and enchanting bottles

Mob Arena

Within Pvp survival there is a portal to the Mob arena where you can fight waves of mobs and get prizes! You can go in as a team however the amount of mobs increases the more people you have. You also get to pick a class by right clicking a sign and then clicking the iron block when your ready to fight.

                                  

Over all Antichthon is a great server which is bound to grow into one off the best servers there is. I would highly recommend you go and check it out now. Once again the IP is (63.141.254.98).
